Hi, I’m Gina Velez (she/her)
A therapist, spiritual companion, and lifelong performer on a path of deep listening, liberation, and love.
After decades of loathing -
and therefore learning how to love — myself, I’ve come to believe that healing is both radical and ordinary. It’s not a destination but a practice. A returning. A remembering. And it’s one we’re not meant to do alone. I’m here to walk alongside you, to ask curious questions, and to help you reawaken to the parts of yourself that may have gone quiet along the way.
I’m an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist in California with a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy. I offer therapy and spiritual mentorship to individuals and couples, with a Narrative, collaborative, and person-centered approach. My work is also shaped by a background in yoga and meditation, somatic and energetic healing, and the transformative power of creative expression.

Before this chapter of my life, I trained as a performer -
earning my BFA in Musical Theatre and working professionally as a singer, dancer, and actor. That training taught me how to inhabit a story, tune into emotion, and access truth through the body. It gave me a deep appreciation for the courage it takes to be seen — and for how powerful it can be when someone simply gets you.
I’ve also been a high school educator, a podcast host, a group facilitator, and a lifelong student of the soul. I lead with authenticity, creativity, humor, and heart.
Beyond the therapy room, I’m a dog mom, coffee lover, garden grower, and spiritual warrior. I adore the color yellow, live for slow mornings and deep conversations, and feel most alive when I’m holding space for someone to come home to themselves.
If any of this resonates with you, I’d be honored to connect.

Why it works: Introduces narrative therapy gently, helps people feel seen, and gets them writing — which builds engagement and insight.

“What have I been taught about my worth — and what do I believe now?”
“If I could name the chapter I’m in, what would it be called?”
